Torfaen Tigers Wheelchair Rugby League
The Torfaen Tigers Wheelchair Rugby League Team is an established team which is connected to a parent club. Even though there is a connection to a parent club, they have full control over all of their marketing materials and design choices.
The team meets on a weekly basis for training sessions and also takes part in competitions and tournaments with rival teams; all of these sessions and competitions need to be advertised to show that the team is active.
However, the members of the team are busy with their lives outside of the sport and are mostly unable to spend time working on the marketing aspect.
Once it was realised that the team needed to push their marketing we were brought in to help as much as possible.
After meeting with the team, it was agreed that they needed a new website which can be used to publish upcoming fixtures and showcase the members of the team.
During the project, we worked closely with the team so that we could fully understand their needs and what they were hoping to achieve with the design and functionality of the website.
The main goals of the site were:
When it came to social media, it was agreed that the general public needs to be informed about the sport and how it compares to the running game in a bid to show that it's similar. It also needs to be advertised that anyone can join the team and that it is a fully inclusive sport; allowing any age, any gender and any ability.
They also requested that we advertise their upcoming fixtures and produce graphics for them, including the opposition's logo, date and time of the match, and location.
Finally, they engaged us in producing ad hoc printed materials including a pop-up banner to be displayed on the side of the court and flyers to be used for general advertising.
The team at Roseblade were easy to work with and always explained everything clearly throughout the process.
They involved the team at every stage and made it clear what they were doing and when as well as what they needed from us.
We would definitely use Roseblade again in the future!
